Just breathe Mama! lol You're going to be fine!!! I can remember being anxious like you would not believe during my wait and get this...my surgery was post poned a week because I messed around and got bronchitis the day before date! Take this time to prepare yourself and girl them nails will irritate the mess out of you while in the hospital so taking them off is doing yourself a favor. Good luck on your day and I can't wait for you to experience your new life. It's wonderful Honey!

Topic: Two Days left!
Thursday is approaching fast and I really can't tell what this is I am feeling. I am snapping at people. Why am I snapping at people? They took me off 5 of my medications that I have been taking for years. They said that I would bleed to much during surgery. OK!
I have a fly in my house that has to die!!!!!!!!!! It is aggravating me!
I have to take off my nail & toe polish. Don't they know how much it cost to get your nails done these days? And who wants to be in the hospital with ugly nails?
I have an ovarian cyst that gives me pain, and can't get that handled until after my VSG surgery.
Maybe I'm just more nervous than I thought I was! I know everything is going to be alright!
Maybe I just needed to vent! I need hugs everybody!!!!!!!!!!

Topic: RE: RNY on June 29th .... YEEHAW
Congrats on finally getting a date. I don't think I could have survived the 6 months of psych and med treatment since I'm not a very patient person. I feel like I've been waiting forever and this journey just started for me back in April. My surgery is on the 29th too. I definitely understand the crazy mix of emotions, but that comes with the territory I guess. I can go from super excited to terrified in the blink of an eye, but fortunately I go right back to being happy and excited again.
Good luck with the pre-op diet.....be good

You look amazingly beautiful!
Way to go girlie! : )
Thank you for sharing that info with me, I was unsure of that and this is so ironic due to my husband and I talking about this last night!
Just a little side note:

Congrats on having your surgery.
It'll take time to notice the weight loss, and like you said, others will notice it first.
I'm down 106 lbs, and although I need smaller clothes, I have a hard time seeing the difference. I guess the one thing surgery can't fix is my fat head LOL.
I hope you appointment goes well today. Can't wait to hear your update.

Topic: Medic Alert
Hello and congrats to all you starting your new life journey in June.
I am 7 months out and am enjoying great success, and you will too.
I am posting this to pass on a piece of advice that was given to me before my surgery.
I was told to get a Medic Alert bracelet to alert medical personnel of our new anatomies.
They told me of a fluke situation that had happened to a woman in my area. She had been in a car accident, and needed to have an NG tube down her throat. Not having a bracelet to warn them, the tube perforated her pouch and she died.
Now I know these things are not common, but I thought I'd pass it along anyway.
I have a medic alert bracelet, and it reads...
My name
Gastric Bypass
No Blind NG Tube.
They can still use the tube, but it must be done with a scope so they can see what they're doing.
This is just something I hadn't thought of.
Hope this info is helpful.
Good luck to all!
